For this project, I was tasked with creating a poster and supplemental text about a landmark in graphic design history. My topic was Herb Lubalin's Avant Garde Magazine.

For the poster, I chose to focus on the magazine's influence in creating the typeface "Avant Garde Gothic," using it to typeset all of the text. I highlighted the logo's slanted letterforms by positioning the main elements on the poster at that same angle. I emulated the magazine's bold visual style by using a high contrast color palette of black, white, and hot pink.
