Emily Mahar is a junior pursuing her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Originally from Rochester, NY she moved to Providence in 2016 and has had a love for city living ever since! She hopes to one day live and work in New York City with her cat, Clary.
She has a great love for publication and book design, typography, and and the intersection of digital technology and traditional media. The question of how design can influence meaning in new and effective ways is always in the back of her mind.
She has previously held an internship position designing as a member of a Marketing team in New York City, but has a dream of working in publishing designing any and all aspects of books!
Her other interests include ice cream, insects, and optical illusions.
