Emily Mahar is a senior pursuing her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Originally from Rochester, NY she moved to Providence in 2016 and has had a love for city living ever since! She hopes to one day live and work in New York City with her cat, Clary.
She has a great love for publication and book design, typography, and and the intersection of digital technology and traditional media. The question of how design can influence meaning in new and effective ways is always in the back of her mind.
She has previously held internship positions designing as a member of a Marketing team, and with the Art & Design department of Viking and Penguin Books in New York City.
Her other interests include ice cream, insects, and optical illusions.
